Take the lead in the development of QC plans, help oversee their implementation and maintenance, and be responsible for acceptance activities that include sampling, inspections, and non-conformance. Assist the Project Manager and Project Superintendent covering field activities in a Quality Control role. Responsible for developing and managing a positive working relationships with owners, engineers, subcontractors and personnel within Reed & Reed.

Qualifications and Essential Skills

• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and tasks
• Demonstrate critical thinking and judgment skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical ability
• Exhibits drive and passion for heavy civil construction

• Displays ability to review plans and specifications for good understanding
• Strong experience in heavy civil type of work with self-perform work that includes forming and placing concrete, and steel erection
• Basic knowledge of risk management issues relating to labor, resources, schedule, procurement, site conditions, safety, and contracts

• 5-10 years of progressive construction related experience
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• ACI Concrete Field Testing, PT and Grout certifications
• NETTCP Technologist Certification

Project Management
• Lead collaboratively the development of QC plans for individual projects
• Assure effective implementation and maintenance of a QC Plan
• Oversee all acceptance activities including sampling, inspection, and rejection of non-conforming work
• Assist supporting Project Managers and Project Superintendents as needed in the field
