Project Description
Reed & Reed accepted the challenge of this complex bridge replacement project which included design and construction of a 500 ft temporary detour bridge, demolition of a 5 span concrete arch structure and staged construction of the new two span, asymmetrical steel plate girder bridge. Complex utility adjustments and relocations compounded by average daily traffic of 16,000 vehicles made coordination and scheduling a challenge. Despite these challenges and unanticipated subsurface conditions, the project was completed ahead of schedule.
