Project Description
Apex Clean Energy chose Reed & Reed, Inc. to be their EPC partner to construct the Downeast Wind Farm. Reed & Reed was awarded the project in November of 2022 following a competitive bid selection process.
The Downeast Wind Farm is a 126MW wind project consisting of 30 Vestas V150 4.2 SE 120m HH turbines located in Washington County, Maine. The project construction began in March of 2023 and is scheduled to be commercially operational by December 2024. The Project is located within ISO-NE and will interconnect at a new switchyard on Emera’s 115kV transmission line which is approximately 0.1 miles from the project substation.

- Wind Turbine Foundations
- 5 kV Collection System
- Collector Substation
- Transmission Line
- Wind Turbine Erection
