Project Description
Reed & Reed was the EPC Contractor for the Record Hill Wind Project in Roxbury, Maine. This work included the design and construction of the foundations, civil infrastructure, collector system, grounding, express collector, substation, O & M building, WTG transport, and turbine erection. Work on the project was originally started in 2010, but was stopped due to regulatory and financing issues. Work started up again in the spring of 2011 and was completed in November of 2011.
The work was completed safely, on time, and on schedule. We received commendations for our efforts with environmental controls as this project was politically sensitive. This included 4 temporary bridges to span stream crossings. The 22 Siemens 2.3 MW turbines have a nameplate capacity of 50.60 MW of clean, renewable power.
