Project Description
This project involves a major upgrade to the existing Mack Point Facility. An existing 1000 ft timber pier was demolished to make way for a new cargo pier.
The new 775 x 100 ft pier consists of a concrete and precast deck supported on 279 pipe piles, many of which are tied down with rock anchors.
The project includes environmental dredging of the berth at the new pier and at another active pier. The dredging includes removal, processing and landside placement of contaminated materials in addition to berth deepening.
