Project Description
Reed & Reed provided EPC services for the Rollins Mountain wind project which is located in Penobscot County, Maine. The work included design and construction of foundations, civil infrastructure, collector system, grounding, substation, O & M building, WTG transport and turbine erection. Work began in the fall 2010 and continued through an unusually harsh old-fashioned Maine winter. Reed & Reed’s crews and subcontractors worked diligently to complete the work and reach COD. Work was completed safely, to the highest standards for quality, under budget and ahead of schedule. The project came on line in June 2011. The 40 GE 1.5 SLE wind turbines have a nameplate capacity of 60 mw.
